Hi, I’m Sarah Phinney. It’s so nice to meet you! 🤝

I’m an Ohioan turned Floridian with a passion for discovering historic stays, quirky roadside attractions, unique destinations, and outdoor adventures near and far.

Before becoming a travel creator, I spent nearly a decade working in broadcast news as a TV journalist, where I earned an Emmy Award for storytelling. Those roots still shape the way I approach travel content today, helping travelers feel more connected to the places they visit.

My love for outdoor adventure also extends beyond content creation. Back home on Florida’s Gulf Coast, I own Salty Dog Kayak Rentals, where I help visitors explore Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park by water. 🛶
